Step 1: Extracting your files

Locate your .zip folder in your Downloads folder. Depending on your device, you can either tap on the .zip folder to extract its contents, or double-click on it.

Step 2: Importing your planner/journal into Goodnotes

• In the Documents section of the Goodnotes app, select ‘New’ and then ‘Import’ from the menu that pops up
• Select your planner/journal from your files and click ‘Open’
• You should now see your planner/journal in your Goodnotes Library!

Step 3: Changing your planner cover

• Most planners & journals in our store come with a default cover and other options to choose from
• To change your cover, open your planner in Goodnotes and select the page with a ‘+’ inside it on the top righthand-side of the Goodnotes menu
• On the ‘Add Page’ menu that pops up, select ‘Import’ and locate the folder of covers in your digital download
• Select your cover and tap ‘Open’ – the cover should be added as a new page in your planner
• You will now need to remove the default cover – make sure you are on the page of the default cover and tap the 3 dots in the top righthand-side
• Select ‘Move Page to Trash’ and the default cover will be removed
• Your planner will now have your cover of choice!

Option 1: Import the Elements Collection file

• With your planner open, tap the pen on the Goodnotes menu to enter Edit mode
• From the Edit menu, tap the star icon which opens the Elements menu. Scroll along the bottom of the pop up and select the ‘+’ to add a new Collection
• In the box that pops up, select ‘Import From…’ and locate the .collection file(s) for the stickers you wish to import
• Tap on the .collection file and then on ‘Open’
• The stickers will now appear in the new Collection box – you may edit the collection title as you wish

Option 2: Import the PNG files

For this option, make sure you have Goodnotes and Files open in Split Screen mode.

• With your planner open in Goodnotes, follow the same steps as in the previous option to create an new empty Collection
• Locate the folder with the individual sticker PNGs in your digital download
• Select all the PNGs & drag them into the Goodnotes app
• The stickers should now appear in the New Collection box – give the collection a title of your own choice
• Your stickers are now ready to use!

What are Planner Inserts?

All our planners come with daily and weekly inserts. These are alternative planning templates you can copy and insert into your planner where needed.

Regular inserts include hyperlinked menu tabs for their month, so that you can still navigate to other parts of your planner easily. Insert PNGs are available for if you want to replace/cover up the default daily or weekly layout that is provided in the planner.

Inserts – Step 1: Choose your insert

• Open your planner and ensure Edit mode is turned off (deselect the pen on the Goodnotes menu)
• You can navigate to your inserts from the Index page (tap on your desired month underneath the ‘Daily & Weekly Inserts’ section) or from where you are within each month by tapping the pencil icon on your planner menu (top right-hand side of the planner)
• From the Inserts page, click on the insert you wish to use

Inserts – Step 2: Place your insert

• On your chosen insert, click the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner of the Goodnotes menu and tap ‘Copy Page’
• Go to the page you’d like to place the insert before or after
• On that page, tap the page with a ‘+’ inside it on the Goodnotes menu, choose ‘Before’ or ‘After’ and then tap ‘Paste Page’
• You now have your insert in place in your planner!

Using Insert PNGs

• Open your planner to the week/day you want to replace – make sure Edit mode is turned on (select the pen on the Goodnotes menu)
• On the Edit menu, select ‘Image’ and ‘Insert from…’ on the box that pops up
• Locate the Insert PNGs folder in your digital download and select the layout you want to use
• You can now resize the insert to cover up the layout below & use your new daily/weekly plan!
